This fits vehicles with a Charcoal Filter Installed.
Excess crankcase pressure is vented from the crankcase through the PCV system, where it is drawn into the intake manifold and returned by the engine. This recirculated air contains aerated oil from the crankcase which is burned by the engine. Turbo charged engines often draw significant amounts of oil into the engine through the PCV system.
This oil catch tank system removes aerated oil so that it can be drained and recycled. The kit is suitable for intallation to the 2 litre FSi engines such as in the VW MK5 Golf , MK5 Golf Edition 30 and SEAT Leon Cupra (not for engine codes CCTA CBFA).
Depending on geographic location certain models listed in the compatible vehicles drop down menu are fitted with a charcoal filter to meet local emissions regulations. The filter is located at the front of the engine bay (on the left as you open the bonnet); also see black plastic canister in the engine bay image shown above. This kit with part number FMMK5CTC is for models fitted with the charcoal filter.
If you do not have the charcoal filter as standard an alternative catch tank kit is available under the product code FMMK5CT.

Do not use aggressive (acidic) car cleaning products, particularly traffic film remover solutions or shampoos to clean your intercooler, radiator, or oil cooler. The use of these products can damage Forge Motorsport cooling systems and invalidate your warranty. These are often found at car washes. A light, warm, soapy solution (free of harsh acidic cleaning compounds) should be used to clean you cooler and thoroughly rinsed away. We recommend that you should inspect your product on a regular basis for bent and/or crushed fins. Any bent fins should be carefully straightened to allow ambient air to pass through the core face. At the time of installing your Forge radiator, an approved coolant must be used and added to the coolant system. Be sure you never mix coolant and always use distilled water.
This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as recommended by the supplier, failure to follow the supplier’s instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the supplier’s approval.

Only if your model has the charcoal filter as standard, otherwise we recommend the FMCTMK5 which fits all models (models with and without charcoal filter as standard).
Golf MK5 GTI catch can options:

Hi, I got slight issue with fitment inside my Audi tt mk2. I do not have washerfluid reservoir on that side so i cannot fit catch can there either. Have you some extra adapter so i can fit it on my tt? Audi TT 8j BWA 2007

Hi I have this kit and would like to replace the allen bolt in the bottom with a threaded nipple so I can fit some hose so any water is released. Removing the need to empty it when full. Could you let me know the thread size please?
