This Forge intake kit is for the VW Up 1.0 TSI and GTI. Our intake kit includes a bespoke aluminium housing, powder coated black for that OEM look and for a hard wearing finish. This has a dual purpose of protecting the filter from heat soak. (A replacement filter for this kit can be found here).
With the engine bay on the VW Up being so compact, the development team were hugely restricted in finding a suitable location for an aftermarket induction kit. After lots of testing and different locations explored, we felt this induction kit is most suited to the VW Up, both for performance and aesthetics. With gains of 5bhp and 6lb/ft torque throughout the rev range, we are extremely pleased with the performance results; not to mention the different sound our intake gives this punchy little 1.0 litre engine. Higher gains can of course be expected mapped vehicles.
The Forge silicone hose has a larger bore and smooth finish inside giving optimum flow and comes in a choice of 3 colours: black, red, or blue. Please select colour from the drop-down list above.

Why not add gold tape to the underside of the aluminium housing to further reflect any heat soak from the engine. The Gold tape comes on a 5 metre roll allowing you to apply it to the underside of your Forge Motorsport product.
Fitting is straightforward and can be completed in 20-30 minutes.
This kit requires no cutting or modification to the vehicle, allowing it to be reversed back to stock.

DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN
When fitting the filter to its counterpart please ensure you do not over tighten the hose clamp connecting them. Doing so could result in the part being crushed, leading to fitment and/or performance issues. The recommended torque setting for this hose clamp is 2-2.4Nm

The majority of Forge Motorsport products come with a limited 10 Year Warranty (brakes pads excluded). All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original proof of purchase to enable us to help you. Failure to supply this proof will result in your claim or enquiry being denied.

Do not use aggressive (acidic) car cleaning products, particularly traffic film remover solutions or shampoos to clean your intercooler, radiator, or oil cooler. The use of these products can damage Forge Motorsport cooling systems and invalidate your warranty. These are often found at car washes. A light, warm, soapy solution (free of harsh acidic cleaning compounds) should be used to clean you cooler and thoroughly rinsed away. We recommend that you should inspect your product on a regular basis for bent and/or crushed fins. Any bent fins should be carefully straightened to allow ambient air to pass through the core face. At the time of installing your Forge radiator, an approved coolant must be used and added to the coolant system. Be sure you never mix coolant and always use distilled water.
This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as recommended by the supplier, failure to follow the supplier’s instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the supplier’s approval.

Hi , in the video of this being installed on YouTube. It shows the oil breather outlet being removed. Is there a specific way or tool to remove this item as I have tried to and it doesn't move. I wanted to make sure I can remove everything from my car before I order this item. Thanks
Hello , the hose connected to the crankcase breather should pull away from situ, sometimes while pulling also pry the hose with a screwdriver or similar to aid in breaking the seal, be cautious not to damage the spout.
Good evening, I'm looking into the purchase from yourselves of the induction kit for my VW Up GTI 2019 / manual. I think your stock order number (according to the vid) is FMINDK 30 (?), can you please confirm that this kit does NOT include the dump valve. I understand these help with the Turbo off loading of pressure but I'm not keen on wanting to hear this every time I drive the car. If this is part of the package is it possible to exclude the installation of the 'Dump Valve'? Hope this makes sense. Best regards Derek
Hello Derek, Yes I can confirm FMINDK30 is ONLY an induction kit and does not include a dump valve. This is a separate part and is called FMDV18.
