This Blow Off, or Dump valve, is for the Mercedes 2.0 Turbo GDi engine found in the CLA250 that has the electronically controlled bypass valve. It is recommended for any vehicle where the boost pressure has been increased by an ECU software upgrade and for unmodified vehicles operating in warmer climates, as a solution to the many failures that have occurred where the original rubber diaphragm splits, which causes a loss of boost pressure. Unfortunately the failure doesn’t always result in a check engine light as the valve can still be blown open by the boost pressure, so you may not be aware that you are losing power due to this.
Our alternative is a fully engineered solution offering significantly improved reliability. Our valve is piston based with no diaphragm to fail, and of all aluminium construction. It replaces the original unit with a pressure/vacuum operated piston valve that still also retains the desirable OEM ECU control over valve actuation.

The majority of Forge Motorsport products come with a limited 10 Year Warranty (brakes pads excluded). All warranty claims must be accompanied by the original proof of purchase to enable us to help you. Failure to supply this proof will result in your claim or enquiry being denied.

Do not use aggressive (acidic) car cleaning products, particularly traffic film remover solutions or shampoos to clean your intercooler, radiator, or oil cooler. The use of these products can damage Forge Motorsport cooling systems and invalidate your warranty. These are often found at car washes. A light, warm, soapy solution (free of harsh acidic cleaning compounds) should be used to clean you cooler and thoroughly rinsed away. We recommend that you should inspect your product on a regular basis for bent and/or crushed fins. Any bent fins should be carefully straightened to allow ambient air to pass through the core face. At the time of installing your Forge radiator, an approved coolant must be used and added to the coolant system. Be sure you never mix coolant and always use distilled water.
This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as recommended by the supplier, failure to follow the supplier’s instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the supplier’s approval.

Hi I've checked my vehicle to see if this fits and got a reply saying it doesn't fit my diesel but the site says it does? On the phone we were told it would work as my diesel has been tuned .. all we want is the whoosh sound of the bov .. I just want to be doubly sure b4 we purchase.. will we get a sound attall ? Thanks

whilst the web listing says the valve will fit M270/M274 models that means petrol turbo only,
Unfortunately, we don’t supply a blow off valve or dump valve for diesels they don't need them - dump valves/blow off valves are designed to vent the area between the turbo and the throttle. In a petrol engine, at high boost, when you snap the throttle closed the turbo is still spinning. This causes a build-up of pressure between the turbo and the throttle, and the air can send shockwaves back through the turbo compressor, potentially causing damage. A dump valve vents this pressure off. Diesels don't have a throttle, so this problem just doesn't exist.
At Forge we won’t manufacture a product that doesn’t perform or improve the performance of the vehicle I would recommend an air intake as that will give you some induction sound.
