This valve kit is an evolution of the FMARSDV dump valve we market for the 8P chassis RS3. It was developed for those who have tuned, or plan to tune, their 8S chassis Audi TTRS or 8V/8Y chassis Audi RS3 in excess of 450hp. Audi have seen fit to not change the design of the OEM dump valve from the previous RS3, so the same issues are carried over to the new 8V chassis; namely it was observed that cars over 450bhp were randomly getting errors from the stock solenoid dump valve not functioning. Whilst the stock valve will operate as designed, with the boost level necessary for 450bhp the stock valve couldn’t move the volume of air it needed to, so the ECU was seeing too great a positive boost in the MAP readings between gearchanges and assuming the stock valve wasn’t functioning correctly.
We looked closely at this issue, and noted that there would be no real fix for this as the size of the hole for the valve is too small in the stock elbow. We decided that we would re-design and produce our own elbow, allowing a much larger DV port, which in turn would allow fitment of a larger valve to take advantage of it. We also improved the internal flow of the elbow and removed restriction within the valve. The elbow design has been changed by Audi to accommodate a different throttle body, so our design has changed too.
With the engine management on this engine being MAP based rather than MAF based, which is unlike many other Audi engines, we have also incorporated the option into the kit, of being able to run as a recirculation valve or with an atmospheric discharge/blow off.
An uprated white spring is included with this kit to cater for those with an upgraded ECU

Do not use aggressive (acidic) car cleaning products, particularly traffic film remover solutions or shampoos to clean your intercooler, radiator, or oil cooler. The use of these products can damage Forge Motorsport cooling systems and invalidate your warranty. These are often found at car washes. A light, warm, soapy solution (free of harsh acidic cleaning compounds) should be used to clean you cooler and thoroughly rinsed away. We recommend that you should inspect your product on a regular basis for bent and/or crushed fins. Any bent fins should be carefully straightened to allow ambient air to pass through the core face. At the time of installing your Forge radiator, an approved coolant must be used and added to the coolant system. Be sure you never mix coolant and always use distilled water.
This warranty does not apply to any defect in the goods arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, accident, negligence by you or any third party, use otherwise than as recommended by the supplier, failure to follow the supplier’s instructions, or any alteration or repair carried out without the supplier’s approval.

Yes the FMDV7 fits the quoted pre-facelift model.
Is High flow valve the same as Blow off valve?
Yes, the valve kit includes components to run as either a blow off valve or recirculation type valve. The website image shows the valve fitted with the blow off trumpet to produce the blow off noise quality, but this kit also includes a standard side port and recirculation hose for customers who prefer to run the valve without the blow off noise quality.
Hi, is it easy enough to change the valve from recirculating to atmospheric ? If so, how long would it take? And does anyone know if atmospheric would throw up any fault codes on the 8Y
once the elbow and valve are installed it takes approximately 10 mins to change from atmo to recirc. the product will not bring up any EML lights on an 8Y RS3.
Hi. Is the spring that comes with the kit the same as the one inside the valve? What color is the next stiffer valve spring. Audi rs3v8,5 evo max 1.9bar boost pressure

The white spring that come in the box is a stiffer spring to the spring which is already fitted to the valve. This is for stage 2 onwards vehicles.
